Wired or Wireless?

Many people ask which is better. I’ve always said, “Wired is always faster and more reliable than wireless.” Having said that, in many instances, wireless is more cost effective and convenient than pulling cable to the computer. Some programs require a more persistent connection than WIFI provides for. If you are using WIFI in your business, make sure you are utilizing robust hardware, such as any of the Ubiquiti products. We have been installing the Ubiquiti UniFi Access Points (AP) for a number of years and have yet to see any failures. Right now the most common UniFi Access Point we are using is the UniFi AP AC Pro. This AP is amazing. It has 3 Dual-Band Antennas, 3 dBi each. The Maximum Power Consumption is 9 WATTS. It includes 2 10/100/1000 Ethernet Ports. The AP provides for 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, which means that all your wireless devices, old and new, with operate at their maximum speed.
